May 4 2020, Steep Rock Beach Park will be open to all seasonal site holders and mooring spot holders. Only gate cards assigned to seasonal site holders and mooring spot holders, will have access to the park.
Public facilities including restaurant, office/store, washrooms, showers, laundry rooms, pavilion, picnic and group-shelter use will be closed for the foreseeable future.
With the closure of washrooms and other dedicated gathering spaces within our park, the opportunity to congregate in groups of more than 10 people is significantly minimized.
The playgrounds will be open to all seasonal campers, adult supervision is required and necessary to insure proper social distancing.
Anyone who does not comply with COVID-19 (corona virus) social distancing guidelines, can be fined. This could also result in losing your privilege to enter the park for the remainder of the social distancing.
Provincial guidelines in the Roadmap to Recovery dictate that people travelling to a campground must pack out what was packed in and leave no trace of their visit. We ask that you follow this guideline taking all garbage and recyclables with you when going back to your home. There will be no garbage cans and garbage bins available for public use until further notice. Our staff must be kept safe in these unusual circumstances. The Manitoba government has launched its new, online service for the sale of angling licenses, that can be purchased and printed at home. Licenses will not be sold in the office this year. For more information on this program, visit their website here.
